Day 7 – The Resurrection: The Tomb That Couldn’t Hold Him

Luke 24:6 (CSB)

“He is not here, but he has risen! Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee…”

No one expected this.

The women came with spices… not trumpets. They came to mourn, not celebrate. They were prepared to anoint a dead body—but the body wasn’t there.

The stone had been rolled away.

Not so Jesus could get out—but so we could see in.

And what they found wasn’t absence. It was an announcement.

“He is not here… but He has risen.”

The grave couldn’t hold Him. Sin couldn’t stain Him. Death couldn’t keep Him.

The Resurrection isn’t just something Jesus did—it’s who He is.

He is the Resurrection and the Life.

And that means Easter isn’t just an event—it’s a new era.

Because if Jesus really walked out of that tomb—then everything changes.

Every promise is true. Every sin from every one of His people has been forgiven. Every grave loses its grip on those who acknowledge Jesus as Lord.

But let’s be honest…

Some of us treat the resurrection like a seasonal accessory—something we pull out on Easter, sing about for a Sunday, and then shelve until next year.

But resurrection isn’t meant to be celebrated once… It’s meant to be lived every day.

An encounter with the risen Christ turns your fear into boldness, sorrow into joy, and confusion into passionate proclamation. Because He lives, so do you as a new creation!

Takeaway: If the tomb is empty, your hope doesn’t have to be. The story isn’t over.

Jesus doesn’t just change your afterlife—He changes your right now.

You’re alive because He is. Let’s walk like it.
